March/Parade Route

For the 20th consecutive year, the Utica St. Patrick's Day Parade will march north on Genesee St. The parade starts at Oneida Square (now a circle) and proceeds about 7/10 mi. to Columbia St. Judging will take place in front of the Stanley Theatre about halfway through the parade route.


Some general suggestions for parade participants are as follows:
Those participants travelling south on the Arterial (Route 12) please consider exiting at Court Street. Travel west one block turn left at the stop light onto Sunset Avenue. Sunset Avenue will cross the Arterial. The streets for the parade line up (Plant, Tracy and Noyes) will be on your left.

Those participants travelling north on the Arterial (Route 12) please consider exiting at Noyes Street. Travel east one block to Sunset Avenue take a left if lining up on Tracey or Plant Street.

Those participants lining up on Genesee Street please consider exiting at Burrstone Road. Travel east on Burrstone to Genesee Street. Take left (north) onto Genesee Street heading toward Oneida Square.

Genesee Street will be closed in both directions at 8:30 a.m. from Eagle Street southbound to Genesee and Watson.
