GAIF Security Director receives award

Michael Schreck, Director of Security for the GAIF was recognized at the 2010 Oneida County American Legion Convention as "Corrections Officer of the Year." Mike is a 27 year veteran of the NYS Dept. of Corrections, with primary duties as a supervisor of a community work crew. As such, he has overseen projects throughout the community on churches, fire halls, scout camps, festivals and many, many others.

He is a member of many local organizations including: President of The Knights of St. John's Comm. 41, Treasurer of The I.O.O.B., American Legion Post 1376, Whitestown Vets, Schuyler VFW Post 8728, and the Utica Maennerchor. He also volunteers for the America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk as the Start/Finish Line Chairperson, is the Asst. Finish Line Director for the Boilermaker Road Race, and is the site coordinator at Midstate Correctional for the Ride for Missing Children.
